Cinquains

Friday, December 8th, 2006

Wind blows
As they rock trees
Leaves blow high in the sky
As they fal to the mud colour ground grass
Wind blows.
Autumn
Is 3 season
As they float peacefully
They lay there for days ice-cold
Dead now.

My Haikus

Friday, December 8th, 2006

1. I wrote a haiku
But I cant remember how
so just forget it.
2.When its Christmas day
The red chested robins sing
And the soft snow falls.
3. We love the seaside
With its crashing foamy waves
And very soft sand
4.I love loud music
Lots of big and noisy drums
And rocking guitars

Sometimes I crunch,
I’m multicoloured,
And sometimes things munch.
What am I?

i am a poppy

Our Autumnal Poetry Week

Thursday, December 7th, 2006

This week we have been exploring a variety of poetic styles and writing “instant anthologies” - we wrote haiku and cinquains on post-it notes and then published them around the classroom.

In two literacy sessions we have written about 200 poems altogether!
