Our Blog Rules
We have decided to think of some rules to agree to before we start blogging!
- Use appropriate language when writing on the blog.
- Only refer to people in our class with a first name.
- Only use your first name.
- Do not write about personal details, such as address or phone numbers.
- Always remember to login and write using your own login details.
- We will be as positive as possible when commenting about other people’s work.
- We will respect other people’s thoughts, opinions, feelings and work online.
- Always read your work carefully before posting to edit it - check for simple spelling and grammatical mistakes. Get someone else to read it before you click the publish button!
- We will write about subjects linked to the work we are doing in Year 6.

An excellent set of rules for blogging! One rule that is difficult to keep to all the time is checking your work before it’s published. It’s very easy to get excited about what you’ve written and rush to publish without checking first.

Hello,
I am a teacher from Australia and what do you think - our class rules for blogging are almost the same as yours!. My class has just started blogging and sometimes forget the rules - especially that one about checking work BEFORE you press publish! How come you can see your errors better after your post is published?
